You notice your skin becoming a bit looser and duller, and you wonder what a skin booster like Profhilo really changes about that. On this page, you'll read honestly what to expect before and after the treatment: what your skin looks like before the first injection, what is immediately visible, and what comes only after a few weeks. No exaggerated promises, just a realistic picture. This way, you'll know in advance whether Profhilo is right for you and what a natural result means for your skin.

Profhilo is a skin booster based on highly concentrated hyaluronic acid. It is not a filler that adds volume in a specific spot, but a product that spreads under your skin and improves skin quality from within. It stimulates your skin to produce more collagen and elastin itself.
The difference between before and after therefore mainly lies in the texture and firmness of your skin, not in a changed face. Before the treatment, the skin often looks somewhat dull, dry, or loose. Over time, it feels smoother and firmer and gains a more natural glow.
Important to know: Profhilo works subtly and gradually. You won't look different; your skin looks healthier and fresher. That fits with how we work at Dr T.: the result should suit you and not be noticeable as a treatment.
The typical candidate for Profhilo notices that the skin is losing firmness and radiance. Think of skin that feels a bit looser in the cheeks, neck, or around the jawline, fine lines due to dryness, or generally tired and dull appearance. This is often a result of aging, sun damage, or a decrease of hyaluronic acid in the skin.
During your consultation, we'll honestly assess the condition of your skin together. If desired, we'll take photos as a starting point, so you can calmly compare the difference later. Subtle changes are sometimes less noticeable in the mirror than in a photo from a few weeks ago.
Profhilo is not intended to fill deep wrinkles or obvious volume loss. If that is your main concern, a filler or biostimulator may be more suitable. We'll tell you honestly when another treatment better suits your starting situation.
The treatment usually consists of a course. Typically, it involves two sessions about a month apart. In each session, a few small dots of product are injected at fixed points, after which the hyaluronic acid spreads under the skin. The injections themselves are fine, and the treatment usually doesn't take long.
Right after the treatment, you may feel or see small bumps at the injection sites. That's normal: the product still needs to distribute, and those bumps usually disappear within a few hours to a day. Sometimes there is some redness or a light bruise.
We take the time beforehand to discuss your expectations and explain what you can expect after each session. This way, you always know what's normal and when you can expect to see the difference.
Immediately after the first session, you won't yet see the final result. Profhilo works gradually because it stimulates your own skin to produce collagen and elastin. That process takes time. Many people notice the first improvement in firmness and hydration a few weeks after the treatment.
The most beautiful before and after difference is usually seen after completing the full course, often around one to two months after the last session. The skin then feels firmer, looks more even, and has more natural radiance. In a comparison photo, that difference is usually clearer than in the mirror.
The result is not permanent. The skin continues to age, so a follow-up course after a few months to a year helps maintain the effect. How long the result lasts varies per person and depends, among other things, on your age, skin quality, and lifestyle.
Profhilo is a good fit for those wanting to improve skin quality: more firmness, hydration, and radiance, on the face but also on the neck, décolletage, or hands. It's a nice choice if you don't yet need volume, but notice your skin becoming duller and looser.
It is less suitable if you mainly want to address deep folds or obvious volume loss, because Profhilo is not made for that. Also, with an active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, we postpone. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we do not perform this treatment.
If you have an allergy to hyaluronic acid or an underlying condition, be sure to mention it during the consultation. We always first assess your situation and health before deciding whether the treatment is safe and meaningful for you.
Profhilo is generally well tolerated. The most common reactions are temporary: redness, slight swelling, the bumps at the injection sites, or sometimes a small bruise. These symptoms usually disappear on their own within a few hours to days.
As with any injection, there is a small risk of infection or an unwanted reaction. That's why we work hygienically, discuss your medical history beforehand, and give you clear aftercare instructions. If you have any doubts after the treatment, you can always contact us.

Make an appointmentProfhilo is given in two sessions, spaced four weeks apart. Right after each injection, you may notice small bumps at the treated spots; these fade on their own, usually within hours. In the first week, many find their skin feels softer and more supple, but the deeper renewal is only beginning. Collagen stimulation starts behind the scenes. Six to eight weeks after the second session, the full improvement becomes visible: fresher, firmer skin texture and a healthy glow. Because Profhilo strengthens from within, results last six to twelve months. For ongoing maintenance, a single session every six to nine months keeps the effect going.
Think of Profhilo as a skin booster rather than a filler. While fillers add volume or reshape contours, Profhilo delivers a burst of deep hydration and biostimulation across the entire face. The result isn’t a different shape, it’s radiant, more supple skin. Threads provide a light mechanical lift, ideal if you want a subtle upward shift, whereas Profhilo mainly refines texture. Energy-based treatments (laser, HIFU) stimulate collagen with heat but often demand more downtime. In my practice, I frequently combine Profhilo with Sculptra or filler for a fully natural revitalization, each applied at its own depth and timing. We determine the best path for your skin during a personal consultation.
Remember: Profhilo won’t correct volume loss. If sunken areas are your primary concern, filler might be the cornerstone. Unsure? We’ll examine your skin together and design a plan aligned with your expectations.
Do you recognize yourself in this?
Profhilo was developed for those seeking a natural, discreet improvement in skin quality. The following situations often recur in my practice.
The pronounced dryness and greyish complexion disappear gradually; your skin regains a healthy, even glow without anyone noticing the cause.
Profhilo improves skin structure and elasticity; lines fade, pores become less visible, and the skin feels noticeably firmer.
No procedure, no visible traces; your body builds the renewal itself. The change is so gradual that no one notices, but everyone sees the difference.
The collagen build-up continues for months. One to two courses per year keep the skin in top condition, without being tied to a tight schedule of repeat appointments.
