Overactive chin muscles can cause a tense chin or a so-called golf ball chin. Small amounts of botulinum toxin in specific chin muscles relax those muscles, so the chin looks smoother and more balanced. The aim is a subtle result that preserves your facial expression.

A tense chin or a so-called golf ball chin can be caused by overactive chin muscles. This often leads to wrinkles, unevenness or a tight, tense look to the chin.
During the treatment, small amounts of botulinum toxin are injected with a fine needle into specific chin muscles. This relaxes the muscles and softens the skin, so the chin looks smoother and more balanced. No anaesthetic is needed and the treatment often takes 10 to 20 minutes. There is usually little or no downtime: you can get on with your daily activities right away.
The effect usually starts within a few hours to 3 days and lasts on average 3 to 4 months, with exceptions of up to 6 months. Regular treatments can make the effect last longer, as the muscles become less active.
The treatment is suitable for adult men and women who have a tense or dimpled chin, chin wrinkles caused by overactive muscles, or unevenness in the chin. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we never treat. If you have a muscle or nerve condition, ask for medical advice first.
A chin botox treatment is often combined with other treatments, such as fillers or a jawline botox treatment, for a more harmonious overall result.
