Labia Filler

With a labia filler, we inject a soft, bio-identical hyaluronic acid gel into the labia. The product used is specially developed for the intimate area and has high tissue friendliness. Hyaluronic acid attracts moisture and provides immediate volume, but also stimulates the natural hydration of the tissue. Thus, we not only restore the contour but also improve the skin quality and elasticity of the labia.

The filler is injected with an extremely fine cannula or needle, minimizing trauma and building up the result evenly. Because we work with reversible hyaluronic acid fillers, we can perfectly dose the volume and, should it ever be necessary, dissolve the product with hyaluronidase. Preparation and comfort

The skin of the labia is sensitive, so comfort is paramount. If desired, I can mix the filler with a bit of local anesthetic for extra comfort during injection. The pricks are then barely noticeable. The filler itself also contains lidocaine, which further reduces discomfort.

The injection technique

I prefer to use a microcannula instead of a sharp needle. This blunt, flexible cannula slides under the skin without damaging blood vessels, greatly reducing the chance of bruising. Through one or two entry points, I distribute the filler evenly. Because I build up each injection step by step, we maintain control over the shape and symmetry. Duration and product choice

The entire session lasts about 30 to 45 minutes. I use hyaluronic acid fillers from reputable brands that are specifically suitable for the intimate area. These products are elastic and resilient, so they move beautifully with the tissue. The result is immediately visible, but over the following days the filler plumps up slightly more as it attracts moisture.

After the treatment, there is virtually no social downtime. Slight swelling and tenderness may occur, but they are generally largely gone within 48 hours. Bruising rarely occurs due to the cannula technique, but if it does, it fades within a week. To optimize recovery, I provide clear guidelines.

Practical tips for the first days

• Avoid pressure and friction: wear loose cotton underwear and avoid tight pants. If possible, sleep on your side or back to prevent pressure on the treated area.
• Cool in moderation: a cool compress (not directly on the skin) can reduce swelling, but do not use ice packs without a cloth.
• Sexual abstinence: I recommend one week to allow the filler to settle and to avoid infection risk.
• No sports or heavy lifting: for 48 hours, as increased blood pressure can worsen swelling.
• No heat sources: avoid sauna, hot baths or direct sunlight on the treated area for the first week.
• Aftercare products: only use mild, fragrance-free cleansing; no aggressive soaps or creams.

When will I see the final result?

Although you see a change immediately after the treatment, it takes about 2 to 4 weeks for the volume to stabilize and any remaining swelling to completely subside. The filler then integrates nicely into the tissue. Depending on the product used and your metabolism, the result remains visible for 9 to 12 months. After that, the body gradually breaks down the hyaluronic acid, which is often a reason for a maintenance treatment.

Normal phenomena after injection

What you can expect: slight redness, swelling, tenderness and sometimes a small bruise at the injection site. These reactions are temporary and disappear spontaneously. That is the body responding to the cannula and the product, not necessarily a complication.

Rare complications

• Irregular contour: if the filler is not evenly distributed, unevenness or small lumps may form. With gentle massage immediately after placement, this can usually be prevented. If it persists, hyaluronidase can dissolve the product.
• Infection: extremely rare with correct sterile technique. I always work with disposable materials and thoroughly disinfect the skin.
• Allergic reaction: hyaluronic acid is bio-identical, so a true allergy almost never occurs. If you experience unexpected severe swelling or itching, that is usually a hypersensitivity to an excipient. Antihistamines or dissolving again with hyaluronidase provide relief.
• Vascular occlusion: theoretically, the filler could enter a blood vessel and block circulation. Due to the cannula technique and my knowledge of anatomy, this risk is minimal in the labia. Should it unexpectedly occur, immediate intervention with hyaluronidase is the standard and effective solution.
