A lip filler gives the lips more volume, shape and definition and ensures a natural, fresh look that suits the face.

Lip filler is a treatment where hyaluronic acid filler is used to give the lips more volume, symmetry and contour. As we age, the lips lose volume and definition in the contours. With a lip filler, these signs can be subtly corrected.
The treatment is fully tailored to the natural lip shape and facial proportions. Whether it concerns slight volume increase, refining the lip border or correcting asymmetry, the goal is always a balanced and natural result without an exaggerated effect.
The treatment starts with a consultation in which the lip shape, symmetry and wishes are discussed. Then, the filler is carefully applied to the lips with fine injections. The filler provides volume, definition and support, while preserving the natural mobility of the lips. The treatment proceeds in a controlled manner and is generally experienced as comfortable.
Lip filler is suitable for adults who:
The treatment is never performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is less suitable for persons with certain medical conditions. In these cases, prior medical advice is recommended.
The recovery time is usually limited. Swelling, redness or small bruises can occur and usually disappear within a few days. Most daily activities can be resumed almost immediately.
The result is visible almost immediately and develops further as the swelling subsides. The effect of a lip filler lasts on average 9 to 12 months. Maintenance treatments can extend the result.

Hyaluronic acid fillers vary in density, elasticity, and water-binding capacity. That's why no two lips receive the same treatment. We match the filler precisely to your lip shape, skin structure, and personal goals.
Supple fillers like Juvederm Volbella or Restylane Kysse concentrate on a soft volume increase and deep hydration. Ideal if you want a refreshed look without an obvious change. They soften fine lines along the lip border and create a healthy, natural glow.
When lip contours fade or you want more projection, we rely on fillers with higher elasticity, like Juvederm Ultra Smile or Restylane Lip Volume. These support the lip border and define the Cupid's bow. Placing the filler at the right depth ensures a crisp, yet never artificial, shape.
Your consultation includes an analysis of your facial proportions, so we can choose the ideal filler. Sometimes we layer two densities: a soft filler for the lip body and a firmer one for the contours. The result is a balanced, natural-looking smile that still feels like you.
Many patients wonder if lip injections are painful. We use layered techniques to keep you comfortable.
We apply a potent numbing cream at least 20 minutes before the injections. If you choose, a tiny nerve block near the mouth corner makes the lips fully numb. After that, you won't feel the filler going in.
Today's hyaluronic acid fillers often contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic. It releases during the injection, deepening numbness so you stay comfortable even after the procedure.
Whenever possible, we inject with a blunt microcannula instead of a needle. This lowers bruising risk and irritates fewer nerve endings. Most clients describe it as light pressure, never sharp pain.
We're all familiar with the overfilled look in tabloids and on social media. That's the opposite of what we do. Our focus is refinement, not radical change.
We examine the unique balance of your lips, the ratio between upper and lower lip, mouth corner position, dental arch, and muscle structure. By injecting at anatomically precise points, we preserve natural movement. Smiling, speaking, and kissing should feel effortless, never stiff.
Rather than injecting a large volume at once, we build results gradually. First time? We start subtly and review after two weeks. If you'd like more volume, we add a touch-up. This approach keeps you in control and prevents an artificial look.
Our goal isn't to make the filler visible, it's to enhance your overall expression. A natural lip doesn't shout; it quietly lets your face light up.
Lips don't exist in isolation. The face is one composition, and the lips must harmonize with cheeks, chin, and skin texture. During your consultation we often explore complementary treatments.
If vertical lines above the lip (smoker's lines) bother you, a tiny amount of Botox can relax the muscle, extending the filler's smoothness. Botox can also gently correct a gummy smile, improving lip proportions at rest.
The skin around the mouth thins early and wrinkles easily. Skinboosters, non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid injected into the upper dermis, deliver intense hydration, improve texture, and blend the lip-to-skin transition. The result is a smoother, more youthful contour.
Drooping mouth corners can make you look tired or sad. Fine PDO threads provide a subtle lift, and when paired with filler, create a fresher, more cheerful expression, no surgery required.
Our aim isn't just to perfect the lips; it's to elevate your entire appearance. Combining techniques yields a subtle rejuvenation that others notice but can't pinpoint.
Lip fillers have a strong safety profile, but knowing the risks and how we handle them puts your mind at ease.
Mild swelling, redness, and small bruises are normal and typically resolve within a few days. Cool packs and arnica cream speed recovery. Severe swelling is rare and may point to a sensitivity, which we treat with medication if needed.
Very rarely, a filler injection can enter a blood vessel, causing circulation problems and potential tissue damage. Our in-depth lip anatomy knowledge and preference for cannulas greatly reduce this risk. If it occurs, we have hyaluronidase on hand to dissolve the filler and restore blood flow immediately.
Because we use only hyaluronic acid, the filler is reversible. Hyaluronidase breaks it down fast, giving reassurance if you're unhappy with the result and serving as the emergency treatment for vascular events. We keep the enzyme in-house at all times.
Infections are extremely rare thanks to our sterile technique and thorough skin disinfection. Occasionally, lumps may form from tissue reactions; they often fade on their own or respond to hyaluronidase or a micro-dose of cortisone.
Your aftercare plays a big role in the final outcome. These steps promote a quick recovery and long-lasting, beautiful results.
For 48 hours, skip heat (saunas, steam baths, heavy workouts), which can increase swelling. Choose soft foods and avoid straws so the lips aren't stressed. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated the first night helps.
Keep makeup off the lips for at least 12 hours to lower infection risk. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free lip balm and avoid rubbing or massaging unless we tell you otherwise.
The true shape emerges around two weeks later, once all swelling subsides and the filler settles. We'll schedule a check-up at that point to review the result and discuss any touch-up.
To maintain the look, keep your lips moisturized and use sun protection. Regularly scheduled touch-ups, typically every 9-12 months, keep the results fresh.
