Wondering what lip fillers cost? That's understandable, because you want to know where you stand before making an appointment. On this page, we honestly explain what determines the price of a lip filler treatment, without vague promises or hidden costs. At Dr T. in Ghent, everything revolves around a natural and respectful result that suits you. We don't set the price in advance with a fixed number, but during a personal consultation, based on what your lips really need.

The cost of lip fillers is not a fixed amount, and that makes sense. Every lip is different and every wish is different. The price depends, among other things, on the amount of filler needed, the type of hyaluronic acid we use and how much volume or definition you want to achieve. Someone who only wants light hydration and a subtle rim has a different path than someone who builds more volume over several sessions.
The starting situation also plays a role. Correcting asymmetry, balancing a thin upper lip with the lower lip, or taking care of the transition to your face sometimes requires more precision and product. That's why we don't work with a rate you simply fill in online, but with a customized estimate.
During the consultation, you will receive an honest and clear explanation about this, so you know in advance what your treatment will cost and why.
A list of fixed prices seems handy, but it would give you a wrong impression. Lip fillers are not a product you pay for per piece without considering you. A price that is too low sometimes leads to an overly heavy treatment, while honest advice means we sometimes do less than you expect, or suggest working in phases.
At Dr T., we believe transparency is more important than a nice number in an advertisement. You pay for a well-considered, medically based treatment and not for as much product as possible. We discuss what the treatment costs openly with you before we start, so there are no surprises afterwards.
Lip fillers can be suitable if you want fuller, more even or better-defined lips, or if they have lost some volume and shape over the years. The goal at Dr T. is always a result that looks natural and fits your face, not a striking or exaggerated lip.
Sometimes a filler is not the right choice. In case of active cold sores, an inflammation in the area or certain medical conditions, we postpone the treatment or advise against it. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, we never treat. If your expectations are not realistic, we also say so honestly. That is part of good care.
During the consultation, we will assess together whether lip fillers are a good idea for you, or whether a different approach better matches what you have in mind.
It all starts with a conversation. We listen to what bothers you or what you would like to see differently, and we look at your lips in proportion to the rest of your face. Only then do we propose a plan and give you an honest price estimate.
The treatment itself is performed with fine needles or a cannula. To keep it comfortable, we use a numbing cream, and most fillers also contain a numbing agent. Most people experience it as very tolerable, and the treatment generally does not take much time.
Afterwards, you will receive clear aftercare instructions, so you know what to do and not do in the first few days.
You see a result immediately, although there is often some swelling and sometimes a bruise in the first days. The final result is therefore best assessed after about two weeks, when the lips have settled and assumed their definitive shape.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are not permanent. The body breaks them down gradually, so over time the result fades and a new treatment can follow if you wish. Exactly how long it lasts varies from person to person and depends on your metabolism and the product used.
Most side effects are mild and temporary, such as swelling, tenderness or a bruise. Serious complications are rare, but we discuss the risks honestly with you and explain how we limit them. If you have any doubts, please feel free to ask during your appointment.
The best way to find out what lip fillers cost for you is a personal consultation. Then we look at your lips, listen to your wish, and give you an honest price that matches what you really need.
You are under no obligation: you can always come and talk calmly first before deciding. Want to know what a natural and respectful result can mean for you? Feel free to make an appointment at Dr T. in Ghent.

Lips never stand alone. A natural, harmonious appearance arises when the whole face is in balance. That is why during your consultation we not only look at your lips, but also the structures around them: the chin, jawline, cheeks and skin quality. Sometimes a combination of treatments is smarter than just lip fillers, and that obviously affects the total investment.
A classic hyaluronic acid-based lip filler is charged per milliliter, depending on the product and the desired correction. Biostimulators like Sculptra work differently: they stimulate your own collagen production and are used per vial. One vial of Sculptra is more expensive than 1 ml of hyaluronic acid filler, but the effect lasts much longer (up to more than two years) and provides diffuse strengthening, not localized volume.
For pure lip contour and volume, hyaluronic acid remains the first choice. Biostimulators are less suitable for the mobile lip area because they don't work locally enough and the result is less predictable. We do not use Sculptra in or around the lips. For loss of support in the cheeks or jawline, Sculptra can make the difference, and by supporting those structures, your lips come into their own more beautifully in a natural way.
Often the most beautiful and most sustainable approach is a combination. For example: a subtle lip correction with hyaluronic acid, supplemented with Sculptra in the cheeks and pre-jowl for support. This not only restores volume, but also the underlying architecture of the face. The total price tag may therefore be higher, but you avoid an 'overfilled' look and benefit from a longer-lasting result. In your personal plan, we look at what is feasible within your budget and in phases.
